Working in an industry that favors face-to-face meetings for effective scientific exchange, train travel, wherever feasible, is one way in which the AS&K group is reducing its environmental impact. And it’s one reason why we were recognized as one of Europe’s Climate Leaders 2022 by the Financial Times.

But, what makes an activity gamified? And, does gamification actually improve its effectiveness?

Millions of individuals around the world experience discrimination and exclusion as a result of the historical stigma and shame associated with menstruation. An estimated 500 million (25% of all people who menstruate) experience ‘period poverty,’ defined as a lack of access to sanitary products, hygiene facilities, waste management and education.1 Isn’t it time to normalize menstruation, and end period poverty?

You Are Not Alone

The second a newborn is placed on her mother’s chest, their pituitary gland floods their bloodstream with the hormone oxytocin. The result: the triggering of an instinctual, lifetime craving for love-hormone which can only be satisfied by social interaction.1,2 From that moment onwards, social interaction will play a highly influential role in that child’s development, morbidity, mortality, mental health and even their ability to exhibit prosocial behaviour like empathy.2
